Roads |
- Request for Road Repairs
Access to the Bluffs requires use of public roads maintained by either Hampshire or Mineral County.
Before you call to complain about the public roads, owners are cautioned to carefully consider what you call and complain about. Experience has found that if you call about a specific item or area, that is what will get fixed. Better results will be obtained if you describe in general terms what needs to be done, such as: "grade and add gravel to Graces Cabin Road from the paved section to the end of Hampshire County maintenance" as opposed to "fill in potholes along the river." In 2011, someone complained about the potholes along the river and that is what they fixed. If you can bring safety into the complaint it might help.
If you have a problem to report, below follows some helpful contact information:
Hampshire County: Chris Corbin 304-822-4167
- Graces Cabin Road is maintained by Hampshire County from Rt 28 to lot 158 where the road veers to the right and goes up to the fire tower. The Bluffs is responsible for maintenance from there to the end of the Bluffs.
Mineral County: Steve Reel 304-788-1221 or Chris Corbin 304-822-4167
- Painter Hollow and Mill Run Roads are both maintained by Mineral County.
